BOOK THE BAND
Once you have decided that Wonderfolk are the band for you, Tailored Entertainment will send a booking contract to you to confirm the booking. The contract features all the important details for the day and once you have signed, the band will sign a copy and confirm the booking in their diary. We ask for a deposit to secure the booking, with the balance payable by bank transfer seven days ahead of the day.
In the lead up to the wedding you are very welcome to contact us any time to discuss the plan for the day. Around four weeks before the day the experienced team at Tailored Entertainment will contact you to go over the final details - timings, first dance, song requests for the disco or DJ, final payment details etc. All of the details will be recorded and sent to the band in one simple final confirmation email, so you can be sure nothing will get missed and everything discussed will happen as planned on the night.
ON THE NIGHT
Wonderfolk will arrive fully self-contained with PA, lighting and pre-mixed disco (or a band member can DJ if you add this to your booking) and will perform 2 hours of live music (2 x 60 minute live sets). The band will cover your whole evening of entertainment so you don't need to hire a separate DJ or any additional equipment.
If your evening reception is in the same room as the meal/speeches, the band would usually arrive to set up in the turnaround time between day and evening. If the room or area for your evening is separate (or curtained off) the band could arrive while you are eating to get set up (they would sound check when suitable and wouldn't interrupt the meal or speeches!) - it takes a minimum of 90 minutes for the band to get fully set up and sound checked.
A guide to a standard evening reception would be:
- 17:30 - Band Arrive
- 19:00 - Background Music On
- 20:00 - First Dance/First Set (60 mins)
- 21:00 - Disco/DJ (ideal time for evening buffet)
- 22:00 - Second Set (60 mins)
- 23:00 - Disco/DJ Until Close
Timings are flexible to suit your needs and live sets can be split 3 x 40 mins if you prefer.The standard price for Wonderfolk is based on them arriving at 17:00 earliest and finishing as late as 00:00. For an early arrival or late finish outside of these times, there is an additional charge.
The band are very happy to perform your choice of first dance for you as long as they have at least three weeks notice of the song choice.
